At Serap Seker Photography, we photograph only one newborn session per day to ensure every baby receives the time, care, and attention they deserve. Discover how this approach creates a safer, more relaxed experience for both babies and parents.
When parents inquire about a newborn session, one of the most common questions we receive is:
“How long is the session? Or how many hours does it take? Or, how many newborn sessions do you photograph in a day? “
The answer is simple: as long as it takes to get the best results, and just one session a day.
At Serap Seker Photography, we intentionally photograph only one newborn session per day in our Guelph studio. While it may seem unusual in today’s fast-paced world, it is one of the most important decisions we’ve made for the families we serve.

Newborns don’t arrive with an agenda.
Some babies fall asleep within minutes. Others need extra cuddles, feeding breaks, diaper changes, or simply more time to settle comfortably.
By dedicating an entire day to one family, we never have to rush a baby through their experience.
The session unfolds at your baby’s pace, not ours.
After photographing more than 2,000 babies over the past 13 years, one thing has never changed:
Safety comes before every pose, every image, and every artistic decision.
A calm environment allows us to safely transition between setups, monitor your baby’s comfort, and ensure every pose is approached with patience and care.
Newborn photography should never feel rushed.
The first few weeks with a newborn can feel overwhelming.
Sleep schedules are unpredictable. Feeding routines are still being established. Parents are adjusting to a brand-new chapter of life.
Our goal is to create a peaceful experience where families can relax while we take care of the details.
There is no pressure to hurry.
There is no countdown to the next client arriving.
There is only time to focus on your family.
Photographing only one newborn per day means every family receives our complete attention from start to finish.
From preparing wraps and outfits to planning family portraits and selecting the perfect setups, your session is thoughtfully designed around your baby.
No two babies are alike.
No two sessions are alike.
And we believe every family deserves an experience that reflects that.
Years from now, these images will become part of your family’s story.
The tiny fingers.
The sleepy smiles.
The details that change so quickly in the first days of life.
By slowing down and dedicating an entire day to one newborn session, we’re able to create timeless portraits while preserving what matters most—your baby’s comfort, safety, and memories.
